At the edge of the world

Fernando. This might start to feel a little overdone - but it was epic
It is so different from St Helena but is the same in many ways: remote, quiet, untouched, welcoming, and an adventure.
We spent a few days exploring the tiny island. Very few people go there because it is complicated to get to.
I ran the island, which is about 6 km from one side to the other.
Fernando is a tropical island with zero Caribbean feelings. It feels much more like the Galapagos. Approximately 65% of the island is a protected marine reserve for a ton of unique wildlife
When we arrived we saw all these signs for golfinho. And we figured - a second remote island golf adventure, but no. Golfinho, in Portuguese, means dolphins and the dolphins are awesome. Every morning around the catamaran, a dozen dolphins would spend a few hours jumping clear out of the water.
Great food. Great beaches. Great wildlife. Great people. Great buggies to bomb around the island on.
We had expected to spend two days at Fernando but for a few reasons we spent three.
As I was leaving, I reflected on the idea that we often spend a lot of effort getting places and then rushing through enjoying them. It is a bad habit.
Sometimes, the idea of being stranded is appealing.
Leaving Fernando after only a few days was simply a shame.
But this is just a reminder about the mission of REIMAGINED. Not to think about or talk about but to do.
Onwards towards Brazil. 2000nm. Leg 3 of 3. Or leg 3 of many to come.
