I can see it in your eyes

Since leaving St Helena, we have been at sea for 170 hours. It is tough to wrap your mind around that amount of time. It’s a lot.

We are now within a few days of our next stop. We are looking to sail into Fernando de Noronha (Fernando) sometime later Saturday afternoon.

Fernando is a volcanic archipelago about 350 kilometres off Brazil’s northeast coast.

In 2001, UNESCO designated it a World Heritage Site because of its importance as a feeding ground for tuna, sharks, turtles, and marine mammals. But do not worry—there is zero chance we will catch a fish. Although allegedly we had a fish on the line yesterday and early today, we saw a fish jumping right off our port side.

Allegedly.

I look forward to exploring the island; it seems very different from St Helena and has the makeup for a great second stop on the maiden voyage of REIMAGINED.

I can sum up my feelings about this next stop using the following link.

Can you hear the drums?
